Note: This is a song about dishonesty in a government school milk program. The words “nom” means both “milk” and “breasts,” and thus surprising change of topic from one line to the next. I will only point out the double meaning in one line, then you will have to remember that “milk” and “breasts” are the same word.

*This is part of an idiom: “จับมือใครดมไม่ได้” which in full means “Clasp hands [with them], can’t smell [them]” and it means you can’t find the one making trouble.
** Word-for-word: “They can cheat children ‘down their throats’” “Down their throats” in this context means “heartlessly” or “without remorse”
*** In the song ซาอุดร “Sa-Udon” the narrator mentions a fear that his child will have to eat dirt. The song ต่างขโมย Dtang Kamoi (Suffering Starvation) is about children in Northeast Thailand.
**** “I eat chicken, they drink the milk” is more pithy in Thai because one word is used for both “eat” and “drink” and there are no a’s or the’s necessary.
