From the upcoming album 95 ปี ราชาเพลงลูกทุ่ง สุรพล สมบัติเจริญ “95 Birthday of the King of Luk Tueng Suraphol Sombatcharoen,” a special tribute album in which Thailand’s leading “For Life” artists will cover the songs of Surapol Sombatcharoen, who would be 95 today.

*For those who can read Thai but can’t translate the title or this line, that’s because it’s in Chinese!
* “เห็นใจ” is made up of the words “see + heart” and together means “empathize” or “sympathize.” In this context, the young man is asking the young woman if she feel anything towards him. I used current English-language slang to convey this.
** ผักบุ้งไฟแดง (pak bung fai daeng) or “red fire pak bung,” is a stir fry dish, with pak bung being morning glory vine.
