This is a song about a person obsessed with magic. Obviously, because I am a Farang living in America, I don’t know all the words associated with various types of superstition in Thailand. I found clues by googling for images and looking at Thai Wikipedia. If I made a mistake, I don’t apologize. As the song implies, it would really be a big waste to spend time learning about magic charms!

Books, books, books are yet more sacred than a Magic Buffalo.

*Googling “บริกรรมท้องจำ” brings up pictures of someone sitting in a medatative pose with a glowing light within them and different parts of the body labeled.
**The version of “you” used for the Magic Buffalo also means “prince” or “lord” as opposed to “slave.” That’s why I said “you great Magic Buffalo.”
*** OR possibly “A life without meaning/substance, books, [and] movies, [I] can try to exchange it”?
