ยามแสงทองลับลา หมู่นกกาบินหารวงรัง
yaam săeng tong láp laa mòo nók gaa bin hăan wong rang
When the golden rays leave from sight, a flock of crows flies to their nests
วิหคยังบินถึงฝั่ง แต่ฉันยังหาฝั่งไม่เจอ
wí-hòk yang bin tĕung fàng dtàe chăn yang hăa fàng mâi jer
A bird flies off to the shore, but I still can’t find mine
ใครสักคนช่วยบอก ใครคนนั้นเฝ้าฝันเป็นเธอ
krai sàk kon chûay bòk krai kon nán fâo făn bpen ter
Can someone please tell [her] that person is dreaming of her?

The sun bids farewell and goes to sleep. The nighttime [gently] rocks the moon
น้ำตาคนเหงาเดือนหงาย ตกในร้องไห้อยู่คนเดียว
nám dtaa kon ngăo deuan ngăai dtòk nai róng hâi yòo kon dieow
The tears of the lonely man in the moon light, fall within, crying all alone
