NOTE: This song is a sequel to the song “Ham Tiam,” meaning “Dildo,” from the album Made in Thailand. It was fun song about a farmer named Ham who has a hard time finding a wife because he is so poor. It’s fun because the word “Ham,” in addition to being a common nickname for boys is at the same time an affectionate term for “penis” or “balls”; thus the song “Ham Tiam” is one big silly double entendre (so I am told). That song was banned from the radio as were about 10% of all the early Carabao songs. In this sequel, “Ham” has become a reporter, and he is now complaining about the censorship he faces in trying to get his story out about the plight of poor farmers. (Hmmmm . . .) According Thai Wikipedia entry for the album” อเมริโกย”, Yuenyong Opakul wrote this second song knowing for sure that it would be banned from the radio, and he did it to “annoy the heals” of the censors! (Or “nip at the heals” of the censors.) A looser title for this song might be “He’s Got Balls.”

to the point that Ham will ban [you].** [If you] think that’s vulgar
ยังดีกว่าคน ที่เนรคุณ
yang dee gwàa kon têe nay-rá-kun
it’s still better than the people who betray.

*I am unclear whether Ham is saying to agitate or not to agitate, but if he is saying don’t agitate, I feel he is saying it sarcastically in the words of the censors like “Please, please reporters. Let’s all be polite. Don’t confuse the people.” Remember, Thai Wikipedia says that Yuenyong Opakul is trying through this song to “bother the heals” of the censors (Thai Wikipedia uses these exact words).
**And there is probably a double entendre.
