The sky in the in the months following rain probably laughs at promises
ฝนหล่นเทร่วงมา สายลมพัดพายิ่งรนร้อนใจ
fŏn lòn tay rûang maa săai lom pát-paa yîng ron rón jai
Rain pours, wind blows, [I’m] even more anxious
ไหนว่าไปแล้วกลับหน้าฝน

*Kwan and Riam are characters in a Thai movie. From “Time Out Film Guide” : “Kwan and Riam are village sweethearts in the 1930s, separated when Riam is sold off into domestic servitude in Bangkok by her impoverished father.”
