Note: The Thai word for refugee in the title of the song breaks down into the words “people who flee danger.” Add Carabao says in the intro that an organization (UNHCR?) asked him to write this song. As with other public service announcement songs, it is direct and to the point. (There is no official video, so you will have to google for a video.) Also check out the much more famous Carabao song “Refugee,” which is artistically stunning.

Having life from day to day of a sort without a goal to struggle towards

Immigrants are all along the back of the ax.* They all have spirits and minds aiming for freedom.

I want the world to know through this song that refugees here and anywhere are people.
