Note: “Lung Fang” or “Uncle Straw” refers to Masanobu Fukuoka, a Japanese man who wrote a book about natural farming in 1975 that was translated into English as “The One-Straw Revolution” in 1978 and into Thai as “ปฏิวัติยุคสมัยด้วยฟางเส้นเดียว” in 1987. Add Carabao read several of his books, then wrote this song.
From the description of “The One-Straw Revolution: An Introduction to Natural Farming” at Amazon books: “Trained as a scientist, Fukuoka rejected both modern agribusiness and centuries of agricultural practice, deciding instead that the best forms of cultivation mirror nature’s own laws. Over the next three decades he perfected his so-called ‘do-nothing’ technique: commonsense, sustainable practices that all but eliminate the use of pesticides, fertilizer, tillage, and perhaps most significantly, wasteful effort.”
