*ตีกลองร้องเพลงให้มันครื้นเครงเกรียวกราว
Beat a drum so it’s merry and noisy
เสียงเพลงกลองยาวเจ็บปวดรวดร้าวรุนแรง
The sound of the long drum song is anguishingly intense
ความมันของไทยไม่เป็นรองใครกล้าแกร่ง
The enjoyments of Thailand will not disappoint the daring
ช่วยกันดัดแปลงเพื่อเอาไว้แข่งกับเขา
Everyone help adapt it to compete with them.

Rock music everyone enthusiastically appreciates as good
ของเราก็มีกลองยาวเป็นที่กล่าวขาน
[As for] something of ours, the long drums are renowned
ได้ยินแต่ไกลหัวใจเร่าร้อนลมลาน
[You] only [need to] hear the from afar, and the heart is invigorated, the air is dazzled
ปีใหม่สงกรานต์สนุกสนานสำราญกลองยาว
On the new year, Songkran, we have joyful fun with the long drums
ฝรั่งยังงงยังมาลุ่มหลงกลองยาว
Farang [Westerners], while confused, are still drawn to and fall for the long drums.
ผิวดำผิวขาวชื่นชมกลองยาวว่าดี
Blacks and Whites express their appreciation, saying Nice!
แล้วเราเป็นใครให้ความสนใจหน่อยซิ
And are we acting as someone with an interest in it?
สร้างสรรค์ดนตรีให้สำเนียงที่เป็นไทย
Create music so the accent is Thai
เต้นร็อคเต้นแร็พมันเป็นรูปแบบของเขา
The beat of rock, the beat of rap, is THEIR format
เลียนแบบลอกเอา เราหรือจะสู้เจ้าของ
[In] imitating a style, are we any match for the owners of it?
ฝรั่งมารำไทยยังไงก็ตกเป็นรอง
Farang come and dance Thai-style anyway and [we] fall into supporting [them].
เราคือเจ้าของเป็นถิ่นของกลองยาวไทย
We are the owners, we are the land of the Thai long drums
